After an impressive start to the season, Ross McCrorie sat down with RedTV at the team hotel in Atlanta to discuss our trip to America and to look back on the first part of the season. To watch in full on RedTV, please click on the red button.

“It is my first time in Atlanta. It has been good! The facilities are good, we got a tour round them. It is one of the best I have seen, the aesthetics of the building and the whole area is great. We are still to experience the stadium at some point as well.

“We have had a bit of downtime. It is good to get all of the boys together to gel, we have got a good tight-knit group. We all went to the shopping mall this afternoon to do a bit of shopping and to get a coffee. It is good to for the boys to do some bonding.

“I enjoy coming away on trips. It is good to get to know all of the boys better, when you are with them 24/7 you can get to know everyone better. It is good to get away as well and see different parts of the world, it is an experience.

“Trips are massive for helping squad morale. It really helped us when we went to Spain in pre-season. We still had some players to sign then but we went out for dinner a few times after training, it is a chance to get all of the boys together, especially the newer ones and to get them integrated really early and to make them feel welcome. I think that has helped massively so far this season. We had a big turnover of players, I think we signed about 11 players. At times you wouldn’t know we had such a large turnover of players because of how tight knit a group we are. Its good to get away and it is a chance to do team bonding events as well.”
