“Nothing’s decided yet.

“I was just focussing on getting back fit and pull the shirt on again before the end of the season after the bad injury I got earlier on.

“That was my focus and nothing else has been sorted. Next week I’ll sit down with my agent and my family and let the gaffer know, but as of this moment nothing’s been decided.

“I’ve not put a lot of thought to it and as I said I’ll think about the offers that have been there and I’ll speak to the right people. The last few months have just been really hard work with the physios to try and get fit and to play my part again this season.

“The injury took longer than I thought and I just wanted to play again this season. I’m happy to get back for the last game but regards to my future the thoughts on that will be next week.

“I said to the gaffer earlier on that I’ve been happy here for the two years.

“It’s been frustrating at times with the different injuries, but I love working with the gaffer, I love all my teammates and it’s a great place to be.

“Certainly, I’ve not ruled out staying, but I’ve not really thought about my future and obviously I need to think about a lot of things. The possibility of staying is there but I’ll get the chance to think about it next week.

“You need to consider a number of things.

“With the age I’m at, it needs to be right for me and my family, but it’s not something I’ve put much thought to up until this moment as it’s just been a case of doing my rehab and battling back from injury and to be available to help the team today.

“It was still a massive game for us to solidify third place and to get European football, which is massive for everyone associated with Aberdeen. There was a lot riding on this game and there were big games the last few weeks. I’m just thankful I could play today and help the boys, but ultimately Kilmarnock beating Rangers means it was out our hands.

“The new facilities is another factor.

“It just makes Aberdeen even more exciting going forward. I’ve been here two years and we’ve not had the training facilities, yet the manager and the squad have done unbelievable with what we’ve had to work with regards facilities.

“The atmosphere around the club has been great and it’s only going to get better with the training ground and that’s going to benefit so many people, especially us players. It’s a big factor in deciding my next move and one I’ll definitely consider when I come to speak about everything.

“As of right now it’s disappointment in the changing room not to have finished third and guaranteed European football next season as a club like Aberdeen needs to be playing in Europe. I’ll enjoy today with the boys on the bus, as for some it will be the last time I play with them, and then look at my future soon.

“It’s the summer break now and it gives us a chance to sit down. The gaffer will be the first to know on my decision. There’s no deadline, and he knows I was just focussing on getting fit.”
