Rubezic on RedTV

Refresh

After completing his first training session with his new teammates this morning, Slobodan Rubežić spoke to RedTV this afternoon at Cormack Park.

And Ruby, as he has been nicknamed by his new teammates, can’t wait to get started.

“I have heard a lot of great things about this club and I am so glad that I am here officially.

“Novi Pazar is a big club and a big city like here and when I heard I was going to Aberdeen, I was so happy because it’s my first international club. This is another level of football. I can’t wait to play in front of the fans.

“My dream is to play in the United Kingdom and because of the Serbian passport it is so hard to get a visa. A lot of players from Serbia don’t get the chance to come to Scotland and England. Everyone told me this was a chance I had to take.

“To play in European football, and in the group stages is also a dream come true.

“I play really aggressive. When people see me they think I will get a lot of cards but we’re all like that in Serbia.

“I done a pre-season with Novi Pazar and we had a really good pre-season. I am ready to go on Saturday if needed.

“I watched Scottish teams in the past and watched some games. I know the teams and I like that way of playing. They are all very fit, top level, they run, they fight, they play another level of football. I know that in Scotland the fans love football more than in other countries.”
