RedTV Matchday Round Up
After the game captain Graeme Shinnie, and the Man of the Match selected by RedTV summariser Lee Miller, spoke to RedTV.
“The week leading up to the game, we knew it was a must win for us if we wanted to climb the table and push on to where we wanted to be. We could not afford to lose the game. Even a drew would have suited Livingston more than us. We knew we had to win the game.
“It was scrappy, it was what we knew it was going to be. But in these types of games, when you come out victorious – it feels good.
“It is a small step.
“We need to put a run together.
“We can’t take it easy and start to think it is turning. We have had a good result this week and we come back in on Monday and work hard for the Dundee United game.”
Also Angus MacDonald, another very strong contender for Man of the Match, spoke to Rob Maclean.
“I’ve enjoyed playing at Pittodrie, the fans are fantastic, they get right behind the players. We needed that because it was a tough afternoon. They are tough to deal with. They get bodies into the box. Livingston are good at what they do, but we stuck to the task. Three points was what we wanted and we got there in the end.
“Everyone dug in. We would have liked a couple more goals to make life more comfortable at the end, but the big thing is we got the result.”
Plus, you can watch an interview with interim manager Barry Robson and there are extended highlights. There is also a special interview with Dons legend Frank McDougall who received his AFC Hall of Fame Award at Pittodrie today.
