Dons ‘keeper Dimitar Mitov came third in a prestigious ceremony in his homeland of Bulgaria yesterday, the Aberdeen No.1 taking home bronze in the Bulgarian Footballer of the Year award.

PAOK’S Kiril Despedov took home first place, with Leeds Ilia Gruev coming second.

Dimi is in action with Bulgaria over the international break, they take part in a double header against Ireland in a UEFA Nations League Playoff.
