After a string of impressive performances in the heart of midfield, Ante Palaversa sat down with RedTV to reflect on his time so far with Aberdeen and he explained why he signed a two year contract extension with the Dons last month.

“The picture of me celebrating at the weekend, it was a moment of relief. It was a long time with a league win. It wasn’t the perfect match for us but we won the game and took the three points. I was really happy at the end.

“I am really enjoying my football and I am really proud to be an Aberdeen player right now. I am really grateful to be here, all of the boys have helped me.

“I feel I am getting closer to my best form. In every training session and every game, I try to give 100%. Training is intense and really hard under the manager. We give 100% on the training pitch. I really enjoy playing under the manager.

“We’re going to try and finish the season strongly. We are still in the cup. We have some big games comping up, starting with Kilmarnock on Saturday.”
