Jimmy Thelin admitted that he was relieved to see his side get a first league win in 2025 on the board as they beat Dundee at Dens Park.

“When you have this run without wins in the league, it is a relief to win, especially to build on things after after the cup win. Our supporters have been there in tough times and in good times, and the energy they give to the team when we compete until the end, we were pleased to give them something to smile about. Dundee were good on set plays, they create the situations inside the box, but the players keep running, because of the energy we create together with our supporters. It is so important, and it was good to see them celebrate together now after the game.

“We talked a lot after the Hibs game, and everybody was looking at themselves in the mirror, everyone, and we all want to take responsibility for being competitive inside the games, even if the opponents get some momentum, so it was nice to see that we could stay in the game after they scored and get the three points together. I think the team is starting to connect and play better and better together, so I’m happy with the collective, and that’s also helped players to look better as individuals also.

“I know how hard everybody is working to get this win, and also stay stable when it’s difficult times, don’t get panicked or stressed, so of course we have to celebrate this victory today. Then tomorrow we think about the next game.

“We have to keep focusing on working hard, because we know nothing is done, we know in May is when the season is over, and now we have to focus on the next game. It’s going to be a difficult, but we have to be ready, and I think the team is growing, that’s the good point. Now we have to build on the things that were good today, how we defend together, how we attack together, and cope with the intense period when the opponents have momentum.

“There’s still many important games to play, so we have to keep working, and it’s going to be intense, a really competitive end of the season, there’s a lot of teams very close together, but of course we are happy to take these three points and be back to third place.”
