Everyone at Aberdeen FC was saddened to learn of the passing of our former player Billy Pirie.

Billy played for the Dons in the mid-1970s. He made his debut in March 1974 in a 6-0 win over Falkirk and went on to make 45 appearances for the Dons, scoring 11 goals, before moving to Dundee in 1976.

There will be a full tribute to Billy to follow in Sunday’s Red Matchday programme.
