Alfie Bavidge has been recalled from his loan deal at Ayr United and will join Alfie Stewart in heading to League One side Inverness Caledonian Thistle for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign.

18-year-old striker Bavidge made 16 appearances for the Somerset Park side and netted two goals in the Championship. Last season the striker was on loan at Kelty Hearts, making 26 appearances and scoring 9 goals. After impressing for the U18s, the Scotland U19 International was called up for first team duties during the 2022-23 season, first appearing in a friendly match against an Atlanta United XI in November 2022. Alfie’s first competitive appearance came when he took the field, coming on as a second-half substitute in a 3–1 win against Motherwell. He has since made 5 appearances for the first team.

Midfielder Alfie Stewart made 17 appearances on loan for Second Division side Peterhead in the second half of last season, as well as captaining the U18s. The 18-year-old has also made a number of appearances in a matchday squad for the Aberdeen first team this season.

Both players were a major part of the Aberdeen U18 side which won the Club Academy Scotland League last season.

Good luck to both Alfie’s and Inverness for the second half of the season.
