Aberdeen FC manager, Jimmy Thelin, has been awarded the Scottish Premiership Glen’s Manager of the Month award for the second time this season after maintaining the club’s undefeated league run.

Aberdeen gained 10 points in October after securing victories over Heart of Midlothian and Dundee United, as well as a 2-1 triumph over Rangers and a 2-2 draw over league leaders, Celtic.

Currently holding the same number of points as Celtic, the Pittodrie side currently sit second in the league table on goal difference.

Colin Matthews, CEO of Glen’s owner the Loch Lomond Group, said:

“Jimmy Thelin has delivered another impressive month of results for Aberdeen, positioning his side as formidable rivals to current leaders, Celtic.

“With the club sitting in second position due to goal difference, Aberdeen have shown resilience in the Premiership, making Jimmy the obvious choice for our voting panel this month as Glen’s Manager of the Month once again. My congratulations to go Jimmy and all at Aberdeen FC. I’m looking forward to watching the club’s performance throughout the rest of the season.”

Aberdeen FC manager, Jimmy Thelin, said:

“I am very happy to accept this award on behalf of everyone associated with Aberdeen FC.

“We have enjoyed some excellent performances and results in the past month, particularly at Pittodrie where we have had brilliant support from our fans who have created the best possible atmosphere to help the team.

“The players deserve enormous credit but there is a real energy throughout the club, and in fact the city, at the moment. Everyone is connected and working together to get better every day and there is a real belief in the journey we are on.

“We look forward to returning to Pittodrie on Saturday night in front of another full house and we hope we can continue to build on our good league form at such an important part of the season.”
