Richard Jensen has joined Danish Superliga side Vejle Boldklub on loan.

The Finnish international, who has made 41 appearances for the Dons, will spend the season with the Reds to gain valuable game time.

“Richard wants to play regularly and at the moment his opportunities here have been limited”, said manager Jimmy Thelin.

“His application and attitude in training have been first class since we arrived, but Richard recognises that he won’t start every game and as the professional that he is, he wants to be playing competitive football consistently.”

Richard started his football career with HJK Helsinki, but moved to FC Twente’s Academy in 2012, aged just sixteen.

The defender had an impressive four seasons with Roda before he moved to Górnik Zabrze in the summer of 2022, making 36 appearances for the Polish side before moving to Aberdeen in the summer of 2023.
