“How the club works, we brought him here (Bojan Miovski) and how we grew as a player here with the support of the people who were here in Aberdeen. It’s an amazing job that they have done and it’s a good journey he is making right now. I think it was a good ending, he was professional all the way that he was here. Always full energy in the training sessions. Also we have some discussions before the first cup game when he didn’t play but he was fair, and then he played some games. He had full concentration in the locker room with all of the players. He is a really professional player and we wish him all the luck for the future.

“If players join here, like Bojan did, their spirit should be come here and try to achieve something with Aberdeen with us and try to win something. Also understand that it’s a good club to grow as a player. It has some good pressure, it has good staff here, it’s a good environment, how the club takes care of the players. I think it’s a lot of things to come here and grow as a player in a strong competition, it’s different kinds of teams that you play against. It has shown that Aberdeen is a good place to be. If you want to achieve something here and then move on it’s a good mix of ambition.

“Like we have done before, the recruitment process is always ongoing behind closed doors but also gives players here the opportunity to take these games, to show themselves and grow. Sometimes when someone is leaving, someone else can step forward. So far we are quite cool with that but it’s always a job behind closed doors we are working on. If we need maybe something can happen but also we put trust in the players that are here.

“Topi’s strength is his speed, he’s really, really quick. He’s a hard working, attacking player. He can add some different qualities to the squad. I think it’s good to have a mix. We have some really, really good players between the lines and how they can combine and pace the tempo of the game but Topi is another profile. I think the mix of the players that we have right now is really, really good. Also, Topi really wants to come here and he is hungry to grow with us. That’s also a character that you need, players who want to come here and push that we can get better and better for every season.

“Topi and Ante will be in the squad for Saturday. That’s good to get this start and to get them inside. Now they’ve been here, the visa is done and everybody’s happy.

“Callum Davidson the coach has won some cup titles. He is an experienced guy and also how they play. They’re really good with the ball and they can mix the game with some strong build up and then attack behind. They are also a good club with strong organisation and good staff. For us it’s no different, we have to go 100%. It’s an important game on Saturday.

“I think we should take it game by game and put focus on the game on Saturday but of course to dream is free and the players should have great dreams in the head. I need to take training day by day and work hard to achieve something. That’s what were talking about to be humble and to do the work. If you do something consistently over time, really, really good work but also hard work then sometimes you get rewarded for that. That is what we’re trying to achieve together now.

“It’s 100% not easy (maintaining the momentum from the start of the season) but specifically for the game tomorrow it’s really important otherwise we are out of the cup. We need to try and make another win tomorrow but stay humble. It’s early in the season but sometimes you need some luck in the games also some turnarounds. We have been down at half-time and then come back. We still have a lot of things to improve in our game. Hopefully during this process, we still find a way to win, have this team spirit that some players are stepping forward and take some responsibility. So we can get more and more consistent in our build up and in our way to press teams. There is still a lot of work to do but believe in it.”
