Aberdeen FC is pleased to announce the beginning of a multi-year partnership with MatchWornShirt, famous worldwide as an industry leader in unique sports memorabilia. Founded in 2017 to provide football fans with access to the match-worn & signed shirts of their favourite players, MatchWornShirt now offer an extensive range of collectibles from many other sports, such as rugby, cricket, cycling and hockey.

For the next five years, Dons fans will have the opportunity to own the team’s match-worn & signed shirts, straight from the pitch, in the form of online auctions hosted exclusively on the MatchWornShirt website and app. These auctions will be paired with twenty-two games across the season, always commencing as soon as the whistle is blown for kick-off.

Once the shirts arrive at MatchWornShirt they are fitted with Fabricks. Powered by the most advanced technology in sports memorabilia, this innovation guarantees and protects the identity of a match-worn shirt by providing the owner with a personal digital certificate of authenticity.

MatchWornShirt have made it incredibly easy for fans to stay up to date with the latest auctions for Aberdeen. All that fans have to do is click here and hit the “Follow” button beside the team’s name.

James Flude, Head of Business Development at MatchWornShirt, commented: “Aberdeen is a historic club, renowned not just in Scotland but throughout Europe following their iconic Cup Winners Cup win in 1983.

“We’re delighted to bring them on board as a partner to complement our extensive SPFL portfolio and really look forward to working with them next season and beyond.”

Aberdeen FC Business Development Manager, Gary Herbert added: “We are delighted to welcome MatchWornShirt to our growing portfolio of partners.

“As leaders in their field, this exciting new relationship with MatchWornShirt will give our dedicated supporters the opportunity to own some unique, signed, match-worn memorabilia from next season onwards.

“Having noticed an increasing demand for signed, match worn shirts, we hope that Dons fans will reap the benefits of this unique partnership, whether in the stands at Pittodrie, or watching throughout the world and we look forward to working with MatchWornShirt to bring our supporters closer to the team and players they love.”
