Central Coaches continue their journey with The Dons
Long-standing supporters of The Dons, Central Coaches, are set to embark on the next part of their journey at Pittodrie having reached a new agreement to continue as the Official Transport Partner for Aberdeen FC first team.
To celebrate the continuation of the partnership all young Dons fans will have the opportunity to take a seat on the Aberdeen FC first team bus this Saturday ahead of our home match with Dundee at Pittodrie.
The first team bus will be parked up outside the Richard Donald Stand from 1pm on matchday ahead of the 3pm kick-off, and all Under 12s can get a FREE ticket (available for Richard Donald Stand Upper) for the match in recognition of AFC’s 121st anniversary which is set to fall on 14th April.
Having been founded in 1984 as Central Taxis Aberdeen, Central Coaches have a special anniversary of their own this year marking 40 years of service within our community and as a partner of AFC.
Lynne Smith, Managing Director of Central Coaches, said: “Since our inception we have always had community at our heart and our association with The Dons has become a big part of that in recent years. The Aberdeen bus catches the eye wherever it goes and is always of interest to young fans in particular so it will be nice to be able to give them the opportunity to step on board this Saturday.”
As part of the new agreement, Central Coaches will continue to transport the first team squad up and down the country and will continue to enjoy prominent presence on matchdays with branding in the recently refurbished dugout.
Robbie Hedderman, Commercial Director at Aberdeen FC, added: “We have been really fortunate to have the support of Lynne, Ryan and the team at Central Coaches during all of my time here, but also working across the Community Trust and Youth Academy, their service to the club has been of a really high standard. We are looking forward to many more years working in partnership and Saturday will provide a nice opportunity to bring that together for our young fans.”
In addition to Central Coaches providing the first team bus this Saturday, our Supporter Engagement Team will be on hand with giveaways for young fans and a colourful flag display will take place in the Richard Donald Stand Upper once again placing the kids at the heart of the action pre-match.
Tickets for Saturday’s match are available online via afc.co.uk/eTickets, by calling 01224 63 1903 or by visiting the Pittodrie Ticket Office open Monday to Friday 9:30am-5pm and Saturday 9:30am-3pm.
