Introducing Dons Cash
Dons Cash is AFC’s brand-new rewards programme designed to reward and incentivise supporters for their purchases with the club.
The introduction of Dons Cash, from 1st July 2023, will follow a similar format to many well-known rewards programmes and all 23/24 Season Ticket and AberDNA Members will be automatically enrolled.
Members will earn cashback on purchases, building their balance throughout the season which can then be spent with the club, and members will also benefit from special offers and promotions throughout the new campaign.
Dons Cash can be earned by Season Ticket and AberDNA Members spending on match tickets, retail merchandise, RedTV subscriptions and more, and can be redeemed on AFC merchandise, match tickets and hospitality in-store or online.

At present, sale pricing in-store and ticket offers are open to all supporters and while this will likely still happen from time-to-time, with Dons Cash in place we will now have greater flexibility to offer special pricing and incentives for Members across all areas of the club.
Alan Burrows, AFC’s Chief Executive added, “Over the last couple of years, the club has been working its way through a digital and modernisation strategy with a view to increasing the fan base and improving the experience for supporters across the board. One of the ways to do that is by simplifying the way that supporters transact and manage their relationship with the club, creating a more uniform experience across all areas of the club.
“The introduction of Single-Sign-On really kicked that off and we now have 47,000 supporters with one account with the club, something which I know is the envy of many clubs.
“The addition of Dons Cash now means that supporters will have one pot of money building up which can be used across retail, ticketing, hospitality and so on. We will also be looking to introduce more special offers throughout the season for members too with more personalised and tailored promotions as we go, this is just the starting point and I look forward to seeing this evolve and grow over the next few seasons.”
Dons Cash will be introduced from 1st July 2023 ahead of the 23/24 season.
23/24 Season Ticket and AberDNA Members will have until 30th June 2023 to claim retail discount in-store and existing TicketCash balances will expire on 12th June 2023.

If you are a current Season Ticket or AberDNA Member, please ensure you have created a Single Sign On Account and log in to view your current Dons Cash balance.
For any purchases made between 1st July 2023 and February 29th 2024 your Dons Cash balance will expire on 31st May 2024. For any purchases made on or after 01 March 2024 your Dons Cash balance will be available for use as of 1 June 2024 and remain active for the following season until 31 May 2025.

ELIGIBILITY
Who is eligible for the Dons Cash programme?
Season Ticket and AberDNA Members (excluding Junior Members) will be automatically enrolled the programme.
I don’t have a Single Sign On account?
If you are yet to create a Single Sign On account, you can create one here.
You will then need to make sure that it is linked Please note that the ticketing account linked must be the Dons ID which holds your Season Ticket or AberDNA membership in order to receive Dons Cash.

When does the Dons Cash programme run from for the 23/24 season?
The Dons Cash programme will run from 1st July 2023 until 31st May 2024.
Why have discounts been removed as part of the move to Dons Cash?
The club has looked at what other sports clubs do in terms of running rewards programmes, offering discounts, not offering discounts at all and consumer trends more generally and decided to introduce Dons Cash as a mechanism to allow us to further reward supporters who do more with the club, with more personalised offers and promotions.
The introduction of Dons Cash, from 1st July 2023, will follow a similar format to many well-known rewards programmes which fans will use in their day-to-day lives (major supermarkets, coffee shops etc) and all 23/24 Season Ticket and AberDNA Members will be automatically enrolled.
Are AberDNA Junior members eligible to earn Dons Cash?
No, AberDNA Junior Members are not eligible to earn Dons Cash as it is not possible to obtain Dons Cash on their FREE tickets. Each supporter has their own Dons Cash balance.
I was a season ticket or AberDNA member last season and yet to renew. Am I still eligible for Dons Cash?
If you are yet to renew your season ticket, you will need to take steps to renew for Season 23/24 to start earning Dons Cash.
AberDNA members will be automatically enrolled into the programme. If an AberDNA Membership expires, the member will no longer be able to earn Dons Cash, but the balance will remain on their account until the end of the 23/24 season.
Are Carers eligible for Dons Cash?
All Carers with a current season ticket will be automatically enrolled into the programme. Carers will earn Dons Cash on all paid for transactions just as any other Season Ticket Member would.
GENERAL QUESTIONS
Does the club still have their current priority points programme in place despite the introduction of Dons Cash?
Yes. The club’s current priority points programme which has been in existence for a number of years is used for determining eligibility on match tickets only and will continue to work in this way. The Dons Cash programme does not affect supporters’ current priority points’ balance and will be run separately.
Does the club still have their current TicketCash programme in place despite the introduction of Dons Cash?
No, Dons Cash will replace the existing TicketCash programme, as it operates in a similar manner but allows supporters the freedom to spend their Dons Cash in other areas of the club, such as the Club Shop or Matchday Hospitality.
All existing TicketCash balances will expire on 12th June 2023.
How do I check my Dons Cash balance?
By logging in to your Single Sign On account via the website here. From time to time we will also send you a reminder of any outstanding Dons Cash you have on your account via email.
EARNINGS
How can I earn Dons Cash?
If you are a Season Ticket Member or AberDNA Member you can earn a % of the net spend on purchases across the club back as Dons Cash. Away tickets and travel are excluded.
If I use Dons Cash to pay for all or part of a transaction, will I still earn Dons Cash?
Supporters will only receive Dons Cash on their actual spend (net spend). For example, if a supporter redeems £20 Dons Cash on a £50 item, they will only earn Dons Cash on the £30 (net amount) they spend.
How long does it take for my Dons Cash to be added to my balance?
Dons Cash earned from your retail purchases takes up to 30 days from the date of your purchase to be added to your balance. As the club’s returns policy on merchandise is 28 days, this prevents the confusion of Dons Cash being allocated and then items being returned.
Dons Cash earned from the purchase of match tickets, hospitality, etc is awarded the day after the match has ended.
I’ve returned my items, will I receive Dons Cash?
Dons Cash will not be allocated to any items that have been returned or refunded. The cash will show as pending and will be removed once the item has been refunded.
For any returns made online or in-store between 1st May and 31st May 2024, any Dons Cash used towards payment will be refunded, however this balance will expire after 31st May if not redeemed on another transaction.
For any returns made online or in-store after the 31st May 2024, any Dons Cash used towards payment will not be refunded.
I’ve purchased match tickets for my friends/family, will I receive Dons Cash?
Dons Cash is awarded to the holder of the account and not the purchaser. For example, if a supporter purchases various tickets for their friends or family, Dons Cash is awarded to each of the friends or family receiving the tickets as long as they are an AberDNA or Season Ticket Member.
SPENDING
Where can I spend my Dons Cash?
You can spend your Dons Cash on season or match tickets, matchday hospitality, in the AFC Shop or online at shop.afc.co.uk. To spend your Dons Cash in-store, present your membership, season ticket card or Dons ID number at the till.
Is all merchandise included in the Dons Cash programme?
You will be able to accrue Dons Cash on merchandise in-store and through the online superstore.
Members will receive Dons Cash on orders placed using gift cards, however Dons Cash cannot be used to purchase gift cards.
Please note that postage and packaging charges are also excluded from the Dons Cash calculations. In addition, you cannot earn Dons Cash on the purchase of Alcohol, Match Programmes or items where the proceeds are donated to our partner charities, AFC Community Trust or AFC Heritage Trust.
Please note that Dons Cash cannot be earned on Sale Items. Any Dons Cash earned can be spent on Sale items.
Can Dons Cash be redeemed on tickets?
Yes, Dons Cash can only be redeemed on home cinch Premiership and European match tickets, matchday hospitality, merchandise in the AFC Shop or online at shop.afc.co.uk.
Does my Dons Cash expire at any point?
For any purchases made between 1st July 2023 and February 29th 2024 your Dons Cash balance will expire on 31st May 2024. For any purchases made on or after March 1st 2024 your Dons Cash will be redeemable from 1st June 2024 for the following season.
Will supporters be warned when their Dons Cash balance is about to expire?
Yes, we will send you email reminders as to when your balance will expire. Please keep your details updated, such as your email address to make sure that you will be able to receive any communications from the club regarding Dons Cash.
What is the minimum amount of Dons Cash I can redeem?
There is no minimum Dons Cash amount that can be redeemed.
