Mattie Pollock arrives at Pittodrie until end of the season

Aberdeen FC have tonight agreed the loan signing of Mattie Pollock from English Championship side Watford FC.

The highly rated centre back, who began his youth career with Leeds United FC, arrives at Pittodrie until the end of the season.

Mattie joined the Hornets on a five-year deal following successful spells at Grimsby and Cheltenham Town in League One, where he picked up the Club’s Young Player of the Year award in 2021/22.

The Dons fought off stiff competition to land the 21-year-old, an aggressive, dominant defender, who was keen to secure regular first team football experience.

Mattie will meet his new team-mates at Cormack Park tomorrow and will go straight into the squad, pending international clearance, for Wednesday’s match cinch Premiership match against St Mirren.
