“It is another big weekend for women’s football in Scotland.
“You also have the game involving Hearts v Hibs. So games at Tannadice and Easter Road.
“It is another one we can tick off the list and hopefully we can come away with three points.
“It will be a big occasion.
“It does raise your performance levels (playing at big stadiums). When you are playing in front of a big crowd, you think about how the game is growing and you want to be part of it. You want to go out and be the best player on the pitch on the day.
“As a collective, everyone raises their game when we have played at Pittodrie so it can only be a good thing for women’s football. It is a bigger platform.”
Last week
“Individual errors cost us on Sunday, and it is something we have spoken about as a group so we are not throwing anyone under the bus.
“We are a young team, and it was another lesson for us, you can’t start like that or you will be punished.
“But if you go 3-0 down at half-time at this level then the game is very difficult to claw back.
“We made some changes during the interval and went out all guns blazing in the second half, and we were pleased with our performance in that period. We hit the post and had a shot cleared off the line before we scored. So we have to take that into Sunday, that second half.”
Opposition
“Dundee United are a good team.
“They have come up this season and given quite a good account of themselves. They are higher up the table than us at the moment. So we will be aiming to try and close that gap.
“Similar to us last season, they have come up with no or little expectation, and they have done very well. The team that came up has stuck together and they have made some good signings. So their squad has improved. They have hit the ground running and credit to them.
“We have not played them for a couple of seasons. When we played each other in SWPL2 the games were always entertaining and high scoring. On the opening day of that season, we won 4-3 after being 3-1 down. We also put in a very good performance against them to clinch the SWPL2 title, when we went 3-0 up early on. We started really strong, with intent, and it is going to have to be the same on Sunday.
“It will be interesting to see just how far each team has come since they last played. Hopefully it will be an exciting game for everyone that is coming.
The season
“It has been quite a stop start season so far, but we can’t use that as an excuse for the poor results. Everyone has had to deal with it, except the sides who have progressed to the later stages of the League Cup.
“Before Christmas we played United, then Spartans and Rangers so it is important we put some points on the board before the break.
“Then come January, we have a good run of fixtures so it will be nice to from week to week and game to game without a break and get some flow into our play.
“We have not played everyone once yet.
“There is still a whole round of games before the split. Apart from the top three, anyone can take points off each other so there is still a very long way to go.”
