Tom Ritchie Joins League 1 Side

Aberdeen goalkeeper Tom Ritchie has today joined cinch League 1 side Queen of the South on loan for the 2022/23 season.

The 19-year-old AFC Youth Academy graduate, who signed a professional contract in 2019, has made a number of appearances on the bench for the first team in competitive games and made his debut in the pre-season game against Buckie Thistle last month.

The Scotland Youth international starred for the Aberdeen B side last season and saved two penalties in the shoot-out victory over Arbroath in the SPFL Trust Trophy Second Round win at Pittodrie.

Tom joins fellow Development Dons Kevin Hanratty (Forfar Athletic) and Evan Towler (Cove Rangers) who are all now out on loan, as well as first team player Dean Campbell (Stevenage).
