Evan Towler moves out on loan
Defender joins Cove Rangers
Aberdeen FC today confirms highly rated youngster Evan Towler has joined cinch Championship side Cove Rangers on loan and will spend the 2022/23 season at the Balmoral Stadium.
An AFC Youth Academy graduate, Evan is still only 17 years old, although he has been involved with the club for close to ten years. He is a left sided central defender who can also play at full-back.
Last season, in his first year as a full-time professional, Evan captained the Aberdeen U18 side and despite only being 16 was also picked to play for the Aberdeen sides that played Arbroath and Hamilton Accies in the SPFL Trust Trophy.
In November the defender signed a new deal which committed his future to the Club until 2024 and then Evan joined Elgin City in January on loan for the second half of the 2021/22 season. During his time at Borough Briggs, he made 17 appearances for the cinch League Two side and impressed many with his level of performance.
Good luck to Evan and Cove Rangers this season.
