22/23 Aberdeen FC Kit | Pre-order now!
As preparations step up ahead of 22/23 campaign, we are excited to share our new home and away kits, inspired by those worn 40 years ago in a season that culminated in European Cup Winners’ Cup glory on an unforgettable night in Gothenburg.
The home kit features the iconic white pinstripe design, synonymous with that rainy night in the Ullevi Stadium on 11th May 1983. The away kit also mirrors season 82/83 with some modern touches and both kits will carry a special commemorative badge to mark the anniversary, along with two stars on the sleeve, representing our two European trophies.
Over the course of the upcoming season, we will also be recognising our Gothenburg Greats with a series of special events, marking significant dates and characters from the campaign.
Both kits, which will also carry the logo of our new shirt sponsor TEXO for the first time, are now available to pre-order in-store and online at afc.co.uk/shop.
The pre-order period will remain open until Monday 18th July with kits expected to be dispatched from Thursday 4th August ahead of our first home league match of the season with St Mirren on Saturday 6th August.
Following on from the global pandemic, football clubs across the country are facing supply challenges ahead of the new season and this means that kits are launching later than would normally be the case.
An adidas spokesperson said: “As a result of unprecedented challenges over the past year we expect to see a delay to Aberdeen FC 22/23 match wear and training wear. We understand the frustration felt by the fans at this time and we have worked in close collaboration with the club to find the best solution on delivering the product as soon we can.”
In practice this means that our home kit will not arrive until late July with the first team set to wear their away kit for our friendly matches and Premier Sports Cup fixtures which fall before then, starting with our match with Buckie Thistle on Saturday 25th June.
At this point in time, adidas has advised that we will be unable to offer the following items as part of the pre-order period:
– Adult Home shorts
– Youth Home shorts
– Home socks
– Goalkeeper kit (all sizes)
– Home Mini-kit
– Away Mini-kit
We will confirm on sale dates for these items when we receive more information from adidas.
