Promising youngster joins League Two side Kelty Hearts FC

Connor Barron has tonight joined Scottish League Two Kelty Hearts FC on loan for the 2021/22 season.

The 18-year-old Youth Academy graduate signed a new deal with the Club in May 2020 and has worked hard with the first team since returning for pre-season training.

The midfielder, who has been on the beach for the first team in previous seasons, is a former U18 captain and led his side to the top of the Club Academy Scotland U18 League and the SFA Youth Cup Final after 17 wins, one draw and only one loss.

Connor heads out on loan to gain some valuable game time as Dons Pathways Manager, Neil Simpson, explains:

“The philosophy and style of play favoured by Kelty Hearts manager Kevin Thomson will suit Connor’s technical ability.

“Connor has impressed the coaching staff here during pre-season and we feel he will benefit greatly from regular game time, aligned with his continued training with the first team.”
