Welcome back for the latest update on your AberDNA membership. Whilst there has been no football to shout about, the Red Army are still making plenty of noise and continue to make us proud to Stand Free, wherever we may be.

In these unprecedented times, the remarkable support of the Red Army means that we have over 150 new members in the last week alone, along with hundreds more of you having pledged to renew over the coming weeks and months. All of this helps support the club and adds to the annual contribution of over £1million directly to the Football Operation.

In addition to this there has been well over 1,000 new Junior members since the free membership was launched earlier this month.

The Chairman addressed all supporters last week, “In these unprecedented and worrying times, what happens in football needs to be put into context. Every individual, every business and every organisation will be acutely feeling the reverberations of the unfolding events.”

“And because the Dons play an important part in my life and your lives, we are committed to steering the Club through this incredibly challenging period. When we get through this, which we will, and football resumes, we want to be in the best shape we can be, on and off the pitch.”

“I’m hugely encourage by those still renewing or purchasing season tickets, renewing or subscribing to AberDNA and buying merchandise on-line. This underlines the amazing and loyal support we have from the Red Army.”

Your continued support through this time has not gone unnnoticed, and from all at the club, we just want to thank you for your unwavering support for the Famous Aberdeen.

Last month we launched the exciting new AberDNA Junior Membership as part of our wider fan engagement strategy. The FREE membership will allow young Dons under the age of 12 the opportunity to enjoy a matchday experience at Pittodrie as well as exciting developments to come.

We would encourage you to let friends and family members know all about AberDNA Junior and continue to grow the Red Army and hit the next milestone! Who will you introduce to the Dons?

Earlier this month, all Junior AberDNA members were given the opportunity to enter our colouring in competition, while staying home and keeping safe.

The 5 winners have been contacted and will each receive a signing scarf when we are able to safely dispatch their prizes.

The competition has been such a success that we are looking for more youngsters to get involved. Over the weekend we posted a number of further activities to keep the kids entertained:

1. Download the activity.
2. Get creative with your colouring in.
3. Upload to Twitter with the #AberDNAJunior or email set@afc.co.uk
4. We will pick another TEN lucky prize winners of a Signing Scarf!

“Our response to the crisis facing us is one of solidarity and support. We have drawn up a battle plan which will allow us to provide practical support to those who need it most and to bring our fans and the community together in our fight against the virus.

Throughout our history, we have been supported by our revered and loyal Red Army, Standing Free every step of the way. Now, we will rally behind our fans and the wider community in their time of need.”

This month, one lucky AberDNA member will win an item from the new Lyle & Scott Golf Range, available online in the AFC Club Shop.

January’s and February’s prize winners were Gordon Harrold and Colin Anderson and they were the lucky recipient of a signed Away kit.

For those of you who are now working from home, what better time to kit out your new office with supplies?

As an AberDNA member, you are entitled to a discount on all full priced items available from the Club Shop. If you are having difficulty claiming your discount, please follow the instructions in the FAQs here.

Unfortunately, we had to postpone the scheduled AberDNA tours of Cormack Park.

The tours will be rescheduled for a later date following Government Guidelines. Those who had a place on the original tours will be given first priority to book onto the rearranged tours and any spaces not claimed with be opened up for any other AberDNA members.
