Cormack Park opening event to be streamed live
The club is delighted to announce that the opening of our much-anticipated new community sports hub, youth academy and professional training facilities at Cormack Park will be streamed live on the club’s official YouTube channel and RedTV from 1pm on Thursday.
Commercial Director, Rob Wicks said: “As much as we would like to have fans in attendance, space constraints for a launch event are rather limited so we have decided to live stream everything from start to finish tomorrow. Doing so will enable Dons fans around the world to join in what will be a truly historic day in the club’s history. Once we have the facility up and running, we will look to offer tours and we are working towards a Community Open Day in the Spring of 2020.”
Sir Alex Ferguson, who steered the club through its most successful period, will be the guest of honour at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the £12 million campus, representing the first phase of AFC’s ambitious vision for a dynamic and inclusive football and community facility and stadium. He will be joined at the opening by former player Bobby Clark, Manager – Derek McInnes, Chairman – Stewart Milne and Vice Chairman – Dave Cormack.
