YOUNG PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Young Player of the Year award which is sponsored by 4TTUDE

The winner of this award has been selected by Co-managers Emma Hunter and Harley Hamdani and has been based on the contribution that this young player has made to the team over the course of the season.

Harley:

“It is probably quite unique in a side that we have got so many young players all together in a squad.

“I think we have had an average age of the starting XI as low 19-years-old.

“So there were a lot of players up for this award but the player that we are selecting has stood out in terms of not just the number of goals she has created but also scored.

“She has represented Scotland at U17 level this season and she has a huge amount of capacity to grow further in the game.”

Our 2019 YOUNG PLAYER OF THE YEAR IS BAYLEY HUTCHISON

GOAL OF THE SEASON

GOAL OF THE SEASON sponsored by HEALTH SHIELD

This award was once again voted for by the management team, and follows much deliberation after a fantastic shortlist of contenders was drawn up.

Emma:

“It was a really difficult decision as we have obviously scored a lot of goals.

“There have been some really good individual goals as well as some really good team ones as well.

“We based this decision on the opposition that we were playing and also the occasion.”

The winner of this season’s GOAL OF THE SEASON award is FRANCESCA OGILVIE for her strike against Kilmarnock in the Scottish Cup last 16.

PLAYERS’ PLAYER OF THE YEAR

This award allows the players themselves to select a team-mate who they believe has made the biggest contribution to the team during the season. The award is voted for by all first team players via a private ballot.

And the PLAYERS PLAYER OF THE YEAR …LOREN CAMPBELL

PLAYER OF THE YEAR

AFC WOMEN’S PLAYER OF THE YEAR sponsored by OCEANEERING

The winner of this award has once again been selected by managers Emma Hunter and Harley Hamdani and has been based on the outstanding contribution this player has made to the team over the course of the season.

Emma:

“As a team I think we have performed brilliantly and we would like to give this award to everyone!

“But we have to pick one and this player in particular has been really consistent throughout the course of the season, and that is during games and during training sessions.

“She is a real leader in terms of what she does and how she is presenting herself and the support she gives other people.

“This player has improved massively over the course the past 12 months has played for the Scotland national team at U17 and U19 now level now.”

Harley:

“The player of the season for us reflects how we want it to be as team but does it on an individual basis.

“We set the task at the beginning of the season to be as consistent as we can possibly be and this player has epitomised that.

“She has not only developed as a footballer but she has developed as a person and brought her own character to the side.”

This year’s PLAYER OF THE YEAR … EILIDH SHORE

Congratulations to all our winners and also to all the girls for a great season. And a big thank you to all those who supported the event.
