Aberdeen FC Community Trust (AFCCT) is delighted to expand the Football for Life initiative with the addition of Jim Crawford Performance Squads from October 2019 which will see 60 players receiving advanced level coaching from a mirrored Youth Academy curriculum.

The Performance Squads will be dual-age banded and will run for players aged 9 – 14 years.

To qualify for the programme players must first attend a free open trial, successful candidates will then be notified by letter

Open Trial Details:
Venue – Balmoral Stadium, Wellington Circle, Aberdeen, AB12 3JG
Wednesday 25th September 4.30pm-6pm U10 (2010s/2009s)
Wednesday 2nd October 4.30pm-6pm U12 (2008/2007s)
Wednesday 9th October 4.30pm-6pm U14 (2006s/2005s)

Goalkeepers are also invited to trial, there will be two goalkeepers selected per age group.

The programme will be priced at £60 per month and will be available to pay by direct debt.

One AFCCT Performance Squad Training Kit
Use of state-of-the-art training facilities twice weekly
Quality coaching and coach development programme
Games programme
Holiday coaching camps
Individualised feedback and reports
Sports Science

The programme is aptly named after Jim Crawford, who spent more than 20 years working with Aberdeen FC and AFCCT, introducing players of all ages and abilities to football.

The programme will continue Jim’s legacy to give talented young players in the North East the opportunity to further enhance their technical and tactical skills and knowledge to compliment the coaching already received at their respective clubs.
