Frank Ross signs contract extension
Midfielder Frank Ross has signed a new one year contract with the club with the potential of a further twelve months.
Another product of the AFC Youth Academy to make the step up to the first team environment in the last few seasons, the Ellon youngster came all the way through the Academy from U10’s and made his debut against Dundee in 2015.
He scored his first goal for the club with a brilliant free kick against Rangers two seasons ago and further developed his game time with a loan spell at Greenock Morton. After impressing at the start of the season in a number of fixtures, the Betfred League Cup game against St Mirren and the following week’s League fixture at Easter Road against Hibernian, his progress was curtailed by a long term injury.
Frank signed a deal in July 2016, when he put pen to paper on a new two-year contract, subsequently signing a one year deal in January 2018, before he joined Greenock Morton for a successful six month loan spell.
The 21 year old has made three starts for the first team and come off the bench on 11 occasions, scoring one goal.
In total Frank has made 32 senior appearances, including his loan spell and scored four senior goals. He has also been involved with Scotland all at levels up to U21.
