Greg Stewart has this afternoon signed on loan from English Championship side Birmingham City for the rest of the season.

For the first half of the 2018/19 campaign the forward was on loan at fellow Premiership team Kilmarnock and in 16 appearances for the Rugby Park side scored eight goals, including one at Pittodrie before being recalled by Birmingham this month.

Last season the 28-year-old was on loan at Aberdeen and helped the club secure second spot in the Ladbrokes Premiership. He was in the starting XI on the final day when the Dons defeated Celtic 1-0 at Celtic Park.

In total Greg has made 38 Aberdeen appearances for the club scoring four goals. Greg is travelling up to Aberdeen this afternoon and will be available for selection for tomorrow’s Scottish Cup tie against Stenhousemuir as international clearance has now been received.
