Rules and Regulations
This is a SPFL game being played at a Scottish Rugby Union Stadium. The existing Football Legislation and the SPFL and SFA regulations which all football supporters are familiar with are in place before, during and after this game.
The use of threatening behaviour, foul or abusive language is strictly forbidden. Racial, sectarian, homophobic or discriminatory abuse or chanting is also forbidden and is considered as unacceptable conduct and may result in arrest and a lifetime ban from regulated football matches.
Public information signs will be displayed around the stadium to further inform supporters of the ground regulations.
The policing operation will be in place on the day to assist stewarding staff with searches and spectators are reminded that drunkenness, as well as alcohol, fireworks, pyrotechnics and weapons are strictly prohibited.
Anyone found to be drunk or in possession of these items will be refused entry to the ground and may face further police action. If asked, please submit to being searched before entry. This is normal practice and supporters should be used to such action by stewards and Police. Being asked to open up coats and bags is not unreasonable given the current threats and risks. There will be a 100% bag check, so don’t take one if you don’t need it. Strictly no pyrotechnic devices please and that includes in the streets and stadium. These devices are very dangerous and do nothing for the good name of Aberdeen FC. We have seen no evidence of this so far this season, which is excellent. Internally, smoking of cigarettes or E-cigs is prohibited.
Please also remember that supporter’s buses are likely to be stopped by Police Scotland and searched for alcohol. A number of specialist police resources will be deployed before, during and after the match to deter criminal activity, manage traffic and keep the public safe.
Flags must conform to relevant fire regulations. Flags must not be offensive in any nature. The Stadium Safety Team will have the final say as to whether a flag is permitted into the stadium.
If you witness any unacceptable behaviour from any supporter, please report it to stewards or Police at the time. This can help defuse situations quickly and reduces the need for lengthy enquiry after the event.
