Saltire Energy extend Club sponsorship deal

08 June 2017

Aberdeen-based Saltire Energy, the leading drilling tool rental specialists for the oil producers of the world, has extended its sponsorship of Aberdeen Football Club.

The extension agreement confirms Saltire Energy as our official club sponsor until May 2019 and further strengthens our long-term relationship with the global energy company.

Official club sponsors since 2014 Saltire’s logo will continue to adorn the front of the Dons first team, Under 20’s and Youth Academy kits as part of a commercial deal which extends beyond the first team squad.

Saltire Energy was the only Scottish company to feature on the Sunday Times Fast Track ‘Ones to Watch’ list in 2014, and the continuous investment in new, innovative products has made Saltire Energy one of the leading drilling tool rental specialists for the oil producers of the world.

In 2008 Saltire established the 'Saltire in the Community' programme to support local initiatives to benefit young people. It's through this avenue that many North-East sporting programmes, including AFC Youth Academy, The Paul Lawrie Foundation, Saltire Energy Sports for Schools, University of Aberdeen Sporting Scholarships and Curling for Schools have benefitted.

Commenting on the continuation of the partnership, Pittodrie Vice Chairman George Yule said: “We're delighted Mike Loggie and Saltire Energy have agreed to extend their involvement as club sponsor until 2019. We've some very exciting times ahead, both on and off the park, and its great news that Saltire Energy will continue alongside us on this journey.”

Mike Loggie, Chief Executive of Saltire Energy added: “Saltire Energy and Aberdeen Football Club have developed an excellent relationship during our term as the Club Sponsor, so when we were approached by AFC to consider an extension of our arrangement, we were delighted to do this as we’ve had many great moments over the last few seasons – and look forward to many more in times ahead”
