U Decide: Pittodrie Health Walks

14 February 2017

Through a Participatory Budgeting scheme Aberdeen FC Community Trust is looking for the local community to vote for the Pittodrie Health Walks programme to take place throughout Seaton, Tillydrone and Woodside.

The Pittodrie Health Walks programme is aimed at people aged 60 and over to help improve the health and well-being of members of the community.

In previous sessions, participants have walked to the Botanic Gardens and visited Crathes and Drum Castles.
After each walk the group will have the opportunity to come back to Pittodrie for some refreshments and socialise with the other walkers.

It is anticipated that over 2000 participations of older people from Seaton, Tillydrone and Woodside would take part in the active ageing programme between April 2017 and March 2018.

Benefits of the programme include regular physical activity, signposting to more regular or intense exercise if desired and most importantly a network of peer support which will tackle social isolation in each of the areas.

To vote for Pittodrie Health Walks follow the guidelines in the link below.
