After completing his paperwork this afternoon on his new deal, Scott McKenna spoke to RedTV:

“I am delighted to have been offered a new deal. The manager took me in before training last Thursday and told me the news. So everything was sorted very quickly. I have signed a year’s extension to my current contract.

“I am now able to get my head down and concentrate on hopefully forcing my way into the first team in the near future.

“I have been with the club since I was 11 years of age so Aberdeen FC has been a big part in my life and I am looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead.”
