“I thought we carried on from doing well in the second half last week against Ross County. We have focussed a lot this week on that performance this week.

“We have got a lot of legs in that team and we had to get back to winning the ball high up the pitch. It’s a lot easier to score when you do that up in their half. The back four helped a lot with that too as they came up with us when we pressed high up the pitch.

“The confidence is coming back slowly but surely and I still think there is a lot more to come from us and we need to make sure that we are on top of our game for next week. We just need to concentrate on ourselves and not worry about what other teams are doing and what other results are. We know if we turn up and play well we are a match for any team in the division.

“I think we changed our game up a lot in the first half. There were times when we looked to pass around them and looked good when we did that but we also got the ball forward and looked to win second balls from there. Changing it up a bit worked well for us.

“There is plenty of character in our team but obviously the confidence took a bit of a hit when we weren’t playing so well and results were not going our way but we are back on form now and we are ready to go.

“For me Aberdeen v Hearts is one of the best games in the league so it’s a big game. I am sure both teams will put in good performances.”
