AFC pays a visit to Northfield Academy

This season we launched a new membership scheme, Red Army: Next Generation, to engage with every supporter between the ages of 12 and 17.

Every young Dons fan, falling within this age bracket, who purchases a concession ST will automatically be enrolled to this fantastic new membership scheme.

As well as enjoying the standard benefits of being a season ticket holder, they will benefit from a host of exclusive offers, as we look to bring our supporters closer to the club. This will include opportunities to enjoy a ‘behind the scenes’ experience on a match-day including meeting first team players and enjoying all the action for selected matches from seats in the Directors Box.

As part of our efforts to engage with these fans who are just beginning their journey with the Dons, we will be visiting secondary schools throughout the City with various representatives from the Club.

On Tuesday afternoon we kicked off our Red Army: Next Generation Secondary Schools Tour with a visit to Northfield Academy. Vice Chairman, George Yule, Head of Communications Dave Macdermid and Vice Captain Mark Reynolds all took to the stage to speak with the youngsters about their careers and experiences in the business community.

Neil Hendry, Head Teacher at Northfield Academy welcomed the visit from Aberdeen FC.“Northfield Academy is delighted to be working in partnership with Aberdeen Football Club to help our pupils to aspire to be outstanding. This work will ensure that our pupils have a greater understanding of career opportunities available to them once they leave school. High profile role models like Mark Reynolds and George Yule working with pupils at Northfield will aspire pupils to be the best they can be.”
