sign contract extensions

Youngsters Craig Murray and Stephen O’Neill are the latest Dons players to commit themselves to Pittodrie by signing contract extensions that will take them through to the end of next season.

The midfielders, who are both from the Motherwell area, have played in the same side since they were 8 years old and are products of Peter Weir’s Glasgow Centre.

Both the 18 years olds have also featured in top team squads recently.

Craig, who natural position is central midfielder, has impressed greatly for the Aberdeen U20s this season in the right back spot and was rewarded for his performances when he made his debut against St Johnstone in December.

Stephen has been a stand out player for Neil Cooper’s side for a number of years now. His preferred position is the right side of midfield but he has also played on the left winger and this season has also impressed in a more central position. Stephen played for the first team in the friendly game in Stavanger in August.
